Kappa Alpha Psi San Antonio Alumni Chapter is hosting their 3rd Annual Chocolate Affair. This year's event will be held at the elegant CoCo/Xo Bistro Chocolate Lounge. This is the same location as last year. Proceeds will help support annual education scholarships awarded to deserving students exemplifying academic excellence.
Join the Brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi for a fun filled night at CoCo/Xo Lounge! Music will be provided by DJ Citi; The Joe Posada Jazz Band, LIVE!! Lourdes (Lou) Lazatin is President and CEO of Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California. Founded in 1942 by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, Saint John’s Health Center is a not-for-profit Catholic hospital and health center that serves the communities of the Westside of Los Angeles. The Health Center’s commitment to excellence has made it the hospital of choice for physicians with national reputations as innovators in their respective specialties of cancer, orthopedics, women’s health and cardiovascular services.
Ms. Lazatin also serves as President and CEO of the Saint John’s Health Center Foundation, a 501(C) (3) corporation charged with advancing the mission of Saint John’s. The Foundation’s singular focus after the Northridge Earthquake has made the new Saint John’s a reality. She is also President and CEO of the John Wayne Cancer Institute at Saint John’s whose mission is accomplished through innovative translational clinical research and the education of the next generation of surgical oncologists and scientists. John Wayne Cancer Institute has internationally recognized research programs in melanoma, breast and endocrine cancer, and brain tumor/neuroscience.
A graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center and Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas with a Master of Science, Health Care Administration, Ms Lazatin resides in La Canada Flintridge, California.
PAMELA DAY

Pamela Day is one of America’s preeminent young businesswomen whom you may recognize from NBC’s The Apprentice or CNBC’s Power Lunch. Ms. Day is an accomplished entrepreneur who has built several successful companies from the ground up, including Crimson Holdings, a family of real estate companies and funds.
Ms. Day began her career as an investment banker on Wall Street in the early 1990s. After graduating with an economics degree from the University of Pennsylvania, she worked as an Analyst taking public new equity issuances at UBS PaineWebber. Her small team was one of the most successful in the firm, underwriting over 30 new equity issues in 12 months, including PaineWebber’s then-largest lead-managed IPO.
Ms. Day went on to attend Harvard Business School, and received her MBA in 1997. She returned to investment banking at BancBoston Robertson Stephens, where she focused on Mergers and Acquisitions of real estate firms and private equity issuances.
In 2000, Ms. Day struck out on her own and founded Blazent, Inc. from her loft in San Francisco. Blazent has grown to become a successful enterprise software company that develops and markets IT management software. Blazent is one of the leaders in its field and has offices in San Mateo, Denver and Dallas. The 29-year-old, non-technical founder built the company from her early vision to a lasting successful powerhouse by marshaling the resources needed for success. During her tenure as CEO, Ms. Day was awarded the Trailblazer Award by the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs as one of the only female founders able to raise significant funds during 2001-2002.
After two years as the Company’s CEO, Ms. Day left Blazent to form Crimson Holdings. The Crimson Companies include four closed-end real property opportunity funds, and Crimson Fund Advisors, LLC, the General Partner and investment manager of those funds. The Crimson Family also includes Crimson Property Management, LLC, the property management arm of the Crimson Companies, for which Ms. Day is the Principal.
Ms. Day currently serves as a Managing Partner for Crimson Fund Advisors and a Fund Manager for Crimson Funds I, II, III and IV. She has managed the firm’s investments and investment strategy since its inception in 2002 and has developed, capitalized and managed nearly 100 million dollars of real estate investments since forming Crimson a decade ago.
Ms. Day was the winner of the Money Hunt Entrepreneur’s Challenge. She is NASD series 7 and 63 licensed and holds a California Real Estate Broker License. Ms. Day sits on the Board of the Harvard Alumni Association of Southern California, is a Luminary Circle Member of Step-Up Women’s Network, is the Founder of the Pamela Day Foundation for Women, and sits on the Advisory Board of Revo, a Financial Processing company. Ms. Day has been a featured business commentator on NBC’s Today Show, CNBC’s Power Lunch, ABC’s The View, and Fox News.

Julie MacMedan is a senior executive with more than 20 years of experience in strategic financial and communications roles.
Ms. MacMedan joined leading content and social media company Demand Media in May 2011 after nearly nine years at interactive entertainment company, THQ Inc., where she was vice president of investor relations and corporate communications. Prior to joining THQ, Julie was a vice president with PondelWilkinson Inc., a Los Angeles based corporate and investor relations consulting firm. Ms. MacMedan joined PondelWilkinson after a multi-year career with NASDAQ OMX, where she served as a director of market services, counseling public companies regarding the strategy and practice of investor relations.
Ms. MacMedan earned an MBA from George Mason University, and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Richmond, where she graduated magna cum laude. She is currently president of the Los Angeles chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute and was nominated for“Best Investor Relations Officer – Small Cap” by the 2011 IR Magazine Awards.

Theresa Jones serves as Executive Vice President of Hackman Capital and is a member of both its Executive Committee and Investment Committee. As Executive Vice President, Theresa’s primary focus is the transaction side of the business where she drives growth through the company’s acquisition of real estate and capital assets sourced through its long term network of brokers, financial institutions, insolvency professionals and joint venture partners. Theresa manages the implementation of the company’s acquisition strategy and the processes necessary to drive transactions through to completion including sourcing, due diligence, investment committee approval, funding, institutional relationships, joint venture partnerships and transition of acquired assets into operational management.
Theresa started her business career at Hackman Capital in 1994 in the company’s real estate and equipment liquidation business. As Vice President, Business Development, she was an integral member of the deal team that sourced and executed on hundreds of industrial facility liquidations inclusive of real estate and equipment spanning four continents. In 1999, Theresa became a member of the senior management team of a partnership between Lehman Brothers and Hackman Capital that launched an online portal for the industrial equipment market.
From 2001-2008, Theresa was Chief Operating Officer for School Loans Corporation, a private financial services firm providing marketing and funding of student loans for multiple Fortune 500 banks nationwide. Theresa returned to Hackman Capital in 2008 and served as the company’s interim COO until 2010, to help expand the company’s operational platform, including the company’s in-house property marketing and communications programs. In addition, Theresa oversaw development of the company’s long term strategic plan, institutional joint venture relationships, fundraising, and corporate development.
Theresa graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in English. Theresa volunteers her time on Boards and committees at UCLA and charitable organizations in Los Angeles. She currently sits on the Founding Board of Leading Women at the UCLA Ziman Center for Real Estate.
